Information
The making of aerial photographs can be an expensive activity because satellites, aircraft and helicopters are expensive. And these means are only able to make high altitude (over 100 meters) pictures.
But you can get them much cheaper with much more detail. Often one wants pictures up to a height of 200 meters or lower. And that can be done cheaply. That's what CAPiNED/10 is all about. CAPiNED/10 stands for Cheap Aerial Photography in the Netherlands 2010.
In Dordrecht (Stayokay hostel) on Friday May 7, 2010 we will show how aerial pictures can be made using kites (KAP – Kite Aerial Photography), balloons (BAP – Balloon Aerial Photography) and poles (PAP – Pole Aerial Photography). No helicopters? Well yes, we will show you a very sophisticated but small version of it.
Over the past years we frequently got questions from researchers and scientists on this way of making aerial photographs. And we see the interest is growing rapidly. That is why we are organizing CAPiNED/10.
On this intensive day we will present all three options of cheap aerial photography. We will explain how to get a camera aloft and how to trigger the camera remotely in different ways. And, if the weather permits, we will demonstrate these methods of aerial photography. But there will definitely be room to answers all of your questions on Cheap Aerial Photography.
Next to that some of your collegues will tell you about their experiences and the use of this type of photography.
CAPiNED/10 is subsequently held to KAPiNED/10 that focuses only on KAP. From May 2 to May 6, 2010 KAPers come from different continents to exchange experiences. If you are interested to learn more deeply and more practical about KAP, then you can also sign in for KAPiNED/10.
For CAPiNED/10 nor KAPiNED/10 knowledge is required. Both are useful for absolute beginners as well as people who have more experience and both are open to all interested persons of 18 years and above.
CAPiNED/10 will be held in English. The language for KAPiNED/10 is English with translations to and from French and German.
CAPiNED/10 costs 150 euro for the conference from 9.00 to 16.30 including a simple lunch. If you come from far, it is possible to easily and inexpensively stay at the conference site: Stayokay Dordrecht.
You can register via the form on the registration page. On December 20, 2009 we will determine whether there is sufficient interest in the conference to proceed, so some urgency is required.
